MVP Summit 2008
If there was ever a gathering of influencers who architect and enable the growth of Microsoft user groups worldwide they are the Microsoft MVP’s and Microsoft Regional Directors.
(Now in case you’re wondering why I’m giving an India specific link to the MVP program, a search will confirm that this site is one of the few public, no sign in required pages which provides information about the program, go figure!!! Alternatively try https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/gp/mvpexecsum and sign in with your passport)
Here they are enjoying the attendee party.

I’ll be writing more about the MVP summit and the interesting Community Summit that followed sooon… so stay tuned….

Hello world!
Ok, now what is this blog about? Well it’s about the “exploding” IT communities across the world. If the 90’s were the growth years of the Internet, the 80’s about networking and the 70’s about the personal computer. The 20-20(Whoa… whats 20-20, well 2000 uptill 2020 is what I feel are the growth years of the IT Communities, they are coming of age!!!) is certainly about the explosion of IT user groups across the world, the computer has grown up to be a baby and now people as people usually do are using it to connect, ya ok, the 20-20 is also about the Internet exploding the known universe(a.k.a. Earth beings) ability to do more etc. well, but, ahem, I think what it’s really enabling is people. We earthlings love to enable the aspect of being in touch and making simple more and more the activities we do. So in this blog I’ll be talking about anything related to IT Communities, whether it is a post about a user group in Australia doing a cool event, or it’s a new/old tool available for people to interact further with, a.k.a. Sharepoint is the best thing to build your community site on, or whether it is just me Twittering about or discussing about Facebook, and the way it just adds further dynamism to communities interacting with each other. So essentially anything about IT Groups, whether they are developer or IT Pro or any other earthling IT Community realted thing.
